Hey y'all, so this is my first Favorites post. There aren't that many since I don't really use a lot of products and the ones I do use are pretty "meh" so...there's mostly media-related things here. ENJOY
Now I know what you're thinking (probably), "OH MY GOD, THE FAULT IN OUR STARS CAME OUT LIKE FOREVER AGO, AHALAALA". I know, I'm extremely late to the party. Not even fashionable late, like idiotically late, but at least I got around to it. Better late than never, right? The Fault in Our Stars by John Green was so incredibly good. I took around 3 days to finish it, which is really quick for me (I'm not a 'read a whole book in day' kind of gal) and I loved every word of it. I'm currently getting into Chuck Palahniuk books but the next John Green book I'll be reading will probably be either Looking For Alaska or Paper Towns. If you haven't read TFIOS, you absolutely have to. You just have to.
I've recently rekindled my love for The Wizard of Oz. We've sort of been discussing the film in my U.S. History class and I suddenly had the urge to watch it for the millionth time. My taste has changed in several fields but after watching this, I've concluded that this is indeed a timeless classic. This version has Chinese words on the cover because my dad bought it while in Taiwan when I was a little tater tot, the film IS in English.

Next up is an Uslu Airlines nail polish in Koror Airai. It's just a really nice beige color that my cousin kindly gave me. I personally would never buy this for myself since it's freaking expensive but damn it really does seem to be worth the money. It's quite thin and you definitely need two coats to get it to be somewhat even and opaque but I like that. Some nail polishes I have are very thick (I guess that's a good thing to some people) and it easily shifts and gets all ruined. This one is just generally really nice and goes well with my skin tone (according to my mom as well). If you are willing to make the investment, I recommend this particular nail varnish.
Here's a fashion item I've been loving this month. This is my No-Fuss Skater Skirt from Forever 21. I literally scoured the shop for a good hour trying to find a decently priced skater skirt and I finally found this one but it was one size too big (medium) but I thought it would work. It just looks like a long, high-waisted skirt and I don't have to worry about people seeing my bum haha (oh the joys of being 4'11'').
One album I've fell in love with has been My Bloody Valentine's new album, MBV. I never listened to any of their music before but apparently they've been on hiatus for a few years and this was their comeback album earlier this year. I found this album through Jenn from clothesencounters, whom I love (watch here) and I couldn't be more grateful. It's really just noise but it's very melodic and serene in a way. Just listen to it and you'll see what I mean. You can listen to the whole album here.
Pixies' new track, Bagboy just came out 3 days ago on June 28 (yes I did hear it when it first released and yes I downloaded it immediately). This is really more of a dedication post than anything as I la-la-love the Pixies so very much. Bagboy itself is an amazing comeback track and a good introduction to the new bassist. I am pretty sad Kim Deal left as she's one of my role models but the new member seems pretty cool too, judging from her part in the new song. Go check it out here.
